Hi! I’m Courtney.

I’m a people person. My early 20’s was spent prowling Melbourne’s nightlife, camera in hand, capturing people at their best (and probably worst). I fell in love with documenting human relationships, people letting their hair down and those moments of pure joy. Tired of shielding my camera from flying beer, a move into the world of weddings was a natural side-step, and one that coincided with my photography degree at RMIT where I was able to deepen my level of technical skill. I was no longer in danger of putting a picture online of someone dancing their heart out at 4am when they’d told their boss they had the flu, and still got to satisfy my love of human connection by being amongst a bunch of people dosed up on love!

Not only am I a photographer, but I am also a qualified secondary teacher and a nearly qualified social worker. I pride myself on my ability to connect easily with people, children and adults alike! i am comfortable amongst new faces, can happily provide direction (if you need it), and am great at wrangling your guests into big group photos. I like to think i can provide a calming, positive presence should you be feeling nervous on the day, or aren’t feeling too confident about being in front of the camera.

Things we will do:

  • Calm your pre-wedding jitters;

  • Laugh a lot (see pic bottom right);

  • Tell lame but mildly funny jokes;

  • Dance (with/without music);

  • Get teary during ceremony and/or speeches;

  • Go with the flow.

Things we won’t do:

  • Make you do weird poses;

  • Make you ‘re-do’ or stage things for a photo;

  • Spend hours on post-ceremony snaps so you miss hanging out with your friends;

  • Get in the way.
